    Fits small, contrary to the other reviews. I was upgrading my mare from the Deluxe 100% cotton in a 5’6 to this double ripstop ultimate in a 5’9 and the new rug fits smaller than the old rug. Still a lovely rug but I’d suggest you size up.

    Not only does this rug wash very well but it is a perfect fit for a welsh pony. The shoulder darts are set quite far forward and so don’r rub. Very satisfied.

    My horse has been wearing his new Oxford Ripstop Ultimate Combo for 3 weeks now, which is an absolute record! He is VERY hard on his rugs- exuberant rolling scratching on trees and living with other horses. This rug has withstood all the rough treatment, and is still is as sound as when we took it from its bag (if not still the same colour). The fabric is very tough (hasn’t managed to rip it yet), but still light enough that I can leave him in it during the really hot days and he has not sweated any more than usual for that heat. The fittings are good and solid. It is a great fit too! No shoulder rubbing and I haven’t had to straighten it.

    Good value for the price. I have them in 6’3 – 6’9. Fits large Warmblood (6’9 ) as well as thoroughbreds. One of the few in this price range that I have found that has a decent drop on the larger sizes. Only fault is that they could be a little larger around the gullet in the neck rug.

They are surprisingly durable and very affordable i think this rug is the best value for money i have come across. Good quality straps and buckles, true to size, great rug!
